How do credits work?
New accounts start with 1,000 free credits. Each AI reply consumes credits based on the model's per-token rate, shown next to every model; flat-fee features show their price up front. Your balance and per-request cost are always visible - nothing is hidden.
What does it cost?

Is my data private?
Conversations, documents and images are visible only to you. Files are served through signed, expiring links - never public URLs. API keys live on our servers and are never sent to your browser. We log request metadata (tokens, latency, cost) to keep the service sustainable, never your passwords or keys.

Students summarizing readings, developers debugging code - including those pointing OpenCode, Claude Code or MCP clients at one credit balance - and writers and founders drafting emails, posts and docs.
Can I use VT.AI from my own tools?
Yes. Create an API key in Settings and point any OpenAI-compatible client at /api/v1, run Claude Code via ANTHROPIC_BASE_URL, or connect an MCP client to /api/mcp. Same rates, same ledger, per-key spend tracking.
Security & privacy, in plain words
Passwords are hashed with bcrypt, sessions use secure HTTP-only cookies, and every API request is authorized server-side. AI provider keys stay on our servers - your browser only ever sees model names and credit costs. Admin actions are audit-logged.
